Bishop Auckland County Court and Magistrates' Court Open Day Saturday 25th November 2006
The Courts at Bishop Auckland, Woodhouse Close, Bishop Auckland, County Durham, DL14 6LD will be open to the public on 25 November from 10am to approximately 4pm.
Pupils from a local school will take part in mock courts and also a painting competition.
The fire brigade will give chip pan fire demonstrations in the morning and afternoon and there will be police traffic cars and a mobile police station as well as a prison van that is used to transport prisoners.
Durham Courts Board will also be holding a public meeting from 11:30am to 1pm. All members of the public are welcome to attend.
Throughout the day there will be various information stands including:
- HMCS Fines and Enforcement
- Magistrates' advisory committee
- Probation
- Witness
In addition to this there will be representatives from various organisations including:
- Philips Collection Services Ltd
- Witness and Victim Support
- Child Support Agency
- Crown Prosecution Service
- County Council Community Safety
- DVLA
- Local Criminal Justice Board
- Youth Engagement
